Safety First.

As 2020 threw us the most challenging curveball we’ve had since going into business, we knew we wanted to dedicate our time and energy to keeping our Marching Athlete’s safe. As orders for new uniforms slowed down, our team pivoted to think of ways that we could help those still practicing and performing as safe as possible.

Our designers came up with cutting edge masks that can accommodate each musical instrument in the traditional marching band. This was no easy task, given that each instrument is played very differently. Special masks for all musicians provide strategically placed doors or openings that allow the instrument to be inserted into the mask while it remains on the musician’s face while playing.

But we didn't stop there. As most instruments are wind instruments, we knew that meant that germs could be spread from the instrument itself, not just the players’ mouth. So we developed covers for all horns that go at the bell of the instrument, and come in white or black. We also created jackets for instruments with multiple holes like the clarinet and the saxophone. We were careful to ensure the jackets do not interfere in anyway and we made them clear so they don’t affect the ability to play.

As disappointed as we are to see a majority of our Marching Athletes™ unable to perform right now. We are excited to support those who are able to play by making them safe! Hopefully as things begin to normal, we hope that more and more of you can benefit from the ingenuity of the G2 team’s design and hard work!
